Jun Funahashi, originally from Tokyo, is a Hawai‘i-based multimedia creator. Currently teaching ceramics at Chaminade University of Honolulu and Kapiʻolani College of University of Hawaii. After graduating from high school, she built a successful career as a creator in New York,.

In 2020, Jun moved to Honolulu, where she found inspiration in Hawai‘i’s natural beauty. This experience deepened her environmental awareness and significantly influenced her artistic practice. One way she honors Hawai‘i’s rich landscape is by incorporating locally sourced materials into her work.
